Next Century Cities Featured on Homework Gap Webinar for ConnectEd Day

As part of  ConnectEd Day events, Next Century Cities’ Executive Director Deb Socia participated in a webinar entitled “Broadband for Learning: Closing the Homework Gap,” organized by the US Department of Education, the Alliance for Excellent Education, and CoSN.

Deb was joined on the panel by Federal Communications Commissioner Jessica Rosenworcel, Valerie Truesdale of Charlotte-Mecklenburg Public Schools, Keith Krueger of CoSN, and Diane Doersch of Green Bay Area Public Schools. During the webinar, panelists explored how the digital homework gap was being addressed in innovative districts, and the ways in which schools and cities can partner to ensure all children are connected.
