In what city is your favorite book set in? Salinas, CA.I loved East of Eden before Oprah.

In what city did your favorite food dish originate or in what city have you had your most memorable meal? Gujarati cuisine in Nairobi, Kenya. The dishes were so spicy there were industrial fans all over the restaurant to try to tame the heat.

What is the nickname of your favorite city that you have visited or lived in? The City of Lilies.I spent my sophomore year of college in Florence, Italy; it was love at first sight.

What city is your favorite musician from? Concord, NC.The alt-country-esque Avett Brothers.

In what city does your favorite movie or television show take place? Schitt’s Creek, Canada (province unknown). No further information needed. 

What city is your favorite sports team based in? Washington, DC.All of them.

What is  a song that you associate with your hometown/city? “Devil Town” by by Bright Eyes (originally by Daniel Johnston).

In what city was your favorite concert and/or festival located? Washington, DC.My favorite venue is 930 Club. I’ve seen dozens of shows there, but some favorites include: Yasiin Bey (fka Mos Def), Talib Kweli, Clutch, Charles Bradley, Michael Kiwanuka, Toots & the Maytals, Moe, and The Infamous Stringdusters.
