Comments to the Broadband Opportunity Council Now Public

In response to President Obama’s broadband initiative, 25 federal agencies came together to form the Broadband Opportunity Council, charged with examining how the federal government can reform existing regulations to make the adoption of broadband Internet easier for communities across the country. To help guide the Council’s work, the Rural Utility Service (RUS) of the Department of Agriculture and the National Telecommunications and Information Administration (NTIA) of the Department of Commerce sought public comments from local leaders to inform the Council about their own experiences.

The Broadband Opportunity Council recently released the comments received during its open comment period. These comments include submissions from individuals and communities across the country, including Next Century Cities partner communities! You can find the public comments here.
