On November 20, 2019, Next Century Cities’ Executive Director, Francella Ochillo, participated in a digital inclusion webinar hosted by Asian Americans Advancing Justice | AAJC. Policy experts from the National Digital Inclusion Alliance, Spectrum’s Digital Education Program, and the Office of U.S. Senator Patty Murray shared insights on how digital opportunities impact civic engagement, workforce development and census participation in Asian American communities.

Francella was invited to discuss digital equity and ways to help close the digital divide. As opportunities continue to migrate online, digital equity and inclusion strategies are vital components of NCC’s work to connect every community to broadband. Importantly, broadband connections must be both affordable and accessible for residents to enjoy the benefits of high-speed connectivity.
