On October 8, 2019, Next Century Cities, along with other members of the Broadband Connects America coalition, signed onto a letter to the House Energy & Commerce Subcommittee on Communications & Technology regarding efforts to improve national broadband mapping. Key points in the letter include: the importance of broadband affordability, the recognition of broadband deployment as both a rural and urban issue, and that an effective broadband strategy must include investment in digital inclusion initiatives.
