Today, Leverett, MA announced that it is beginning to connect homes throughout the community to the new LeverettNet fiber-optic broadband Internet network. The lighting of LeverettNet marks the first ‘last mile’ network to connect to the Massachusetts Broadband Institute ‘middle mile.’  The Active ethernet fiber-optic network design provides symmetrical 1-gigabit-per-second Internet access throughout town. Town leaders expect that the network should be ‘substantially complete’ by June 30.
