Learn about the #AmmonModel! This one day event brought together representatives from Ammon and the region, policy and broadband experts, and key stakeholders to learn more about Ammon’s open access fiber network. The event offered attendees the opportunity to hear more about Ammon’s economic model, how the conservative, rural town secured a 70% subscription take rate, its software defined networking technologies, as well as a tour of its cutting edge facilities.

The full day event took place Thursday, October 5, 2017 at the Ammon Operations Center in Ammon, Idaho. The day was split into two programs — one in the morning and one in the afternoon. The morning program consisted of keynote speakers and a series of panels. The afternoon program consisted of two tracks — one with round table discussions with a variety of industry experts, and the other with a tour of Ammon’s cutting-edge facilities. The day concluded with an evening reception to give attendees the opportunity to network and ask any additional questions of panelists and Ammon representatives.

The event also highlighted a new Harvard report about Ammon, entitled “Enabling Competition & Innovation on a City Fiber Network,” released on the day of the event. Find the full report here.
